Whoever has been doing the work,it looks like a very professional job. I wonder if the chassis jig comes with the car ?

That is very cheap, assuming most of the bits are included even if not in the photos. Let's hope it doesn't get broken up to support another project.

This car is now for sale on eBay. This time there are photos of a restored chassis with some light surface rust and all the other parts that were previously not shown. It looks restorable to me, but needs someone with access to another complete car for reference.

Let's hope it is bought as a project rather than as a collection of spares.

What are the engines in the photo? They are certainly not 541./Austin.
Jaguar maybe ?
Gearboxes look correct for early 541.

eBay item number:123644469246

Currently under £3000.
In Bury, nr Manchester UK
1955 Jensen 541

Stalled restoration project due to bereavement, lots of high quality work already carried out on the chassis, there is surface rust on the bare panels but that will easily clean off, the rest of the car is totally dismantled, we were told its complete but please make your own minds up.

Many thousands already spent at a professional restoration garage

Comes with the v5

Needs a lot of work but these are fetching £50k plus when finished, this is for sale with no reserve so could be a bargain, it would also be worth good money in spares but we only want to sell it as a job lot.

The chassis is mounted on a purpose built jig which is on castors and is included in the sale.

I can see a 541 head and pistons/con-rods, but those engine blocks look almost pre-war ? Wonder what they are. Armstrong Siddeley ?
The all important front chrome moulding is there, so that is a bonus. Rev counter missing ? Left hand door ?

Looking at the latest pics, the crankshafts are not 541, but camshaft and rockers look to be right.
Overall, a good basis for a ground up restoration project.
