If it is 10462, it was a Red car originally. Anyone remember this flying Healey from 9 years ago? Anyone know how it became LHD? Anyone believe this is for real?

Re: Healey-- BOUGHT!!
It is 10462, where was this picture taken? Does anyone know? According to my paperwork, the previous owner was from Lowestoft who has had it for over 10 years. I have mot's etc dating to 1980 and it has always been a uk car.
Weird.
Weird.

Re: Healey-- BOUGHT!!
There are red traces under where the blue paint has chipped off in the engine bay, the earliest record of it being blue is from an mot test back in 1992, so the photo is from before then. A previous owner was a member of the JOC back in 1998, number 7415. I would love to know the history pre1982, where has it been ?

The J-H records are very scant but I'll have a look through and see what I can find for you.

Good for you, an early J-H, certainly a Mk1 with the oil filler canister on the firewall, no cam belt cover etc. Looks like a nice car, you'll have a lot of fun with it. Agree re the white hood, I'd be tempted to go for black if you are looking at a replacement.
It would be worthwhile getting the carbs fully overhauled if you are going to clean out the jets and replace the gaskets and other perishable bits at the same time. In particular the rubber diaphragms / accelerator pump at the bottom of the carbs seem to perish over time and can leak a little bit of petrol from underneath. The parts are cheap, but it is a bit time consuming. And you may as well replace the fuel filters, and....
And ignore the pic of the flying red car, Photoshop has much to answer for!
