Thank you for kind words and tech tips! Service parts have arrived, and so my car is ready for the visit to the garage. Will postpone a little though. The weather is still nice, and wnat to keep driving another couple of weeks.

This afternoon, I will get some silver coach lines done. I know all of you dont like them, but I think they look great, and especially on my car I think it will do the trick, as it is black with black roof. The all big and black surfaces needs to be broken up a little. Pictures will follow.

Have a nice weekend!

Its been a long time since visting the forum, and now my Jensen is sleeping in the garage. Before putting it there, I shot a couple of pictures in black and white which looks kind of retro cool.

It looks very cool retro - particularly with the driving gloves!

Its been quite some time since I last visited the forum, and the Jensen is asleep in the garage in Sweden. Last week, I visited the Techno Classica in Essen, and that certainly is inspiring, and makes me want to go out and enjoy some classic iron ASAP! I did not find a single Jensen Interceptor in Essen, which I found very strange. It is after all, I think, the biggest classic show in Europe, with 3000 cars displayed....

Anyway, I have been busy with my Alfa Romeo, currently undergoing a full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. It will be ready this coming summer. So this summer, I will be driving the Jensen, and then swap over to Alfa once its ready. I am told that is in July. So in September or October, the Alfa will be driven to Mallorca. And I think that is when the Jensen will go into the workshop for some work.

In the meantime, pictures shot last summer....

An update! So I came to Sweden for the summer on June 30, after having spent some wonderful days travelling by car from Spain together with a friend in his lovely Mercedes SL500. Continental touring. My favorite thing!
Upon arrival in Sweden, it was time to wake up the Jensen. It had been garaged with a trickle charger over the winter. And I was not let down. After some cranking, it fired up! I checked all fluids, and have then been driving all summer. No problems. Its been my only car and daily driver. I really am getting to love my Interceptor. It is just sooooo cool!
The Alfa Romeo is a little delayed. But not with much. I am now anticipating to get it in September, and so the planned roadtrip to Mallorca in the newly restored Alfa is very much "on". Although not a Jensen, here is a picture of the painted body. All components are already finnished, so only assembly remains. So the moment of truth is also approaching for my Interceptor. It will be sent away for some fettling starting this winter in any case. Exactly what must be done I am not sure of at the moment. I know interior needs work, as well as supension and rear axle ( there is some "grinding" going in the final drive, and suspension bushings are worn ). The exhaust is tired behind the headers. The A/C needs service. The windscreen washing function is out. The Learjet system needs new speakers, and the unit itself needs new belts. Stuff like that. But who knows. Maybe we end up restoring the car from top to bottom!

The Alfa is ready after its 2 year bare metal nut and bolt rebuild, and I am very happy. So now its time for the Interceptor to get some love. Thinking about adressing suspension, leather and carpets, along with an exhaust. And perhaps also servicing other systems like fuel system, brake system, cooling system. Let see!
Car is parked up, with some spares in the boot, and the documents in the glove box!
