If you are coming with a Jensen and would like to be parked with our cars (which we would strongly encourage), you will need to be there by 8:00am. If you are arriving on Friday evening, let us know. On Saturday we have arranged a lunchtime Barbecue by the cars- if you want to join us for lunch we will need to know beforehand. Send us a note to office@jcc.ch.

And last but not least, our guest speaker has confirmed that he will be there, we are very much looking forward to that!

Hi Felix

unfortunately my Jensen will not be ready for this year Morges' event (still have to finish the electricity part, and God knows it's no easy task...) , therefore I plan to go with ...the Jag E-Type
And on top of that unless I shake my wife hard.. in order to wake her up (only), we should not be there until 10h00...
is there still a chance to be accomodated on the JOC's paddock ?

Toby I have just checked and we are on the 7.50am so might see you there or on route

In my experience as long as they are not fully booked they are quite happy to let travellers get on an earlier or a later crossing.

Which route are you planning on using? With the time constraints I will be using some very expensive French motorways as far as Reims and then get on the D977 and D944. According to Google earth it is a 400 mile 7 hour drive so with a fuel stop and comfort brake we should hopefully be there at a decent time. Doing the hole trip on motorways does not seem to save any time as it is a lot further and the last time I went via Strasbourg in May I got caught in there rush hour and some major road works

Are we going to have a WhatsApp for this trip? I think it was Jensen's on tour or something similar the last time.

Steve
Hi Steve,
I will be overnighting in Folkstone Wednesday 3rd Oct to get the earliest Shuttle i can prior to my 07:20 booked crossing, i am single crewed now so intend using the quickest route to Mulhouse which will probably be Toll Roads. On the return leg Monday 8th Oct i have booked a room in St Omer for a 9am ish Shuttle Tuesday 9th Oct.

Hi Nigel
We're happy that you will be joining us, we're looking very much forward to meeting you. I think all of us here fully understand your situation with a car not being ready. Nigel may have already enquired on your behalf and of course it will be possible to park your Jaguar with us. If you arrive at 10:00, it may take you quite a while until you are inside- there will be 1'500 or more cars and motorbikes attending (were you not there last year or the year before, or was that someone else?). I'd suggest if it is at all possible that you arrive the evening before- or spend the night en route? Send us your details with a picture of your Jensen to office@jcc.ch and we will include you in our booklet. There will be a lunchtime BBQ by the cars, if Nigel has not already informed you.
Felix

Arne's 541 DeLuxe rear bumper just picked up from rechroming and ready to be sent to Germany for assembly before he's off to the meeting.
I'm really happy I could help :)

Is it me or or are we still waiting for the Mulhouse hotel address. I've scoured emails, and this forum, but to no avail. Got everything in place, just don't know where to go. I've had issues with my email before when Jens was sending stuff through so may be that is the issue.
Any info would be gratefully received. Getting all excited now, work colleagues are all pissed off because I keep mentioning it, and I've managed to get off on the last day of the Conservative Party Conference. :D

The weather forecast is not looking too bad. Today it is quite cool and raining, I just heard on the radio that there was some snow on another pass. Yesterday was warm and sunny. My neighbours even went swimming in the lake.

Good thing we're not up on the Grimsel today. Weather will be warmer again in the coming days. Even so, in the nights it can reach 0 degrees- so bringing a sweater might be a good idea...
