Yes...…….. I'm sorry Jens we are going a bit quickly for you.
You are in fact quite correct we were referring to 'the Lamumbo' a dance where some loosed limbed person shuffles under a constantly lowered bar.
Each time he makes it successfully through the bar - the bar is then lowered.
It's a bit like the British tax system: you are required to pay increasingly large sums of money otherwise the whole thing comes crashing down on you.

Is it something to do with satisfying a long-felt want?

An earlier version of this Singer was styled by Eric Neale, who of course also styled the C-V8.
