Best get this right. JLO is 4382. 4383 was broken a few years ago.

Sadly I couldn’t be there at the auction so I didn’t get to meet the chap that bought my car, but I do know he bought the Interceptor as well. I thought he might appear on this forum. It was a very tense day and I didn’t know whether I wanted her to sell or not.

Hello all!

I was the one who purchased both FAT and the Bronze interceptor, only went up to bid on the Interceptor didn't even know the CV-8 was for sale and got a bit of an itchy trigger finger, I could feel your tension from the other side of the telephone when the auctioneer called you to discuss the sale result :-) I had already done the hard-work and informed my wife of the unexpected purchase

Happy chap with the result, she will be looked after very well and will want for nothing.

Congratulations, Steve and I’m glad she has gone to a lovely new home.in that tense phone call with Jim, I asked him if you were a nice chap as I would have kept her if you weren’t. He said you were bonkers (in a good way) so I thought yes, you are a perfect new owner for her, and the rest is history. She was a non runner when I bought her as she overheated instantly, she had a small petrol tank in her boot which had no sender unit and we played Russian roulette with every petrol station we came across and her wiring was haphazard and mysterious but she became part of the family and was there at all the family special occasions. Give her a pat from me...sniff
I now have a (slow) 53 Singer Roadster which feels like more of a toy than a car but has been perfect for this summer.

Jill

If you are ever down Merthyr Tydfil passing in your latest purchase you would always be welcome to pop in for a cup of tea or coffee and take a look at the girl if it didn't upset you seeing her, you will see for yourself then what she means to us :)

Just drop us a message.

Thanks for a great car.
