OHU IM RESTORATION WORK
Hi all. Im sure a lot of you are familar with this jensen. Belongs to chris bagnall on here. Ive had it with me for the past 3 weeks at my workshop for some restoration work on front suspension and engine bay. Every bush ball joint etc has been renewed aswell as everything powder coated.Ive fitted Fossway large brake discs and calipers for extra stopping power. As you see inner arches and chassis have had all the old underseal removed cleaned and repainted satin black.engine bay pics up next.

Re: OHU IM RESTORATION WORK
I left the engine in while working on the engine bay. Again lots of parts powder coated/re painted and polished etc. Intake manifold bead blasted. Thanks to eddy mk 2 (cea) for the heads up on the silver heat insulation. Ive fitted ign coil/ballast etc under the fuse box to tidy up top of engine and less wiring on show. Heater hoses routed along inner wing instead of on top of the engine.lots of parts renewed in the bay too. Hopefully by the end of this week the car will be ready for being returned to a very happy owner. Been a busy 3 weeks but certainly well worth it.

Great work Jim Smith. I’m the proud owner of this car. It’s great to see the car in top shape, it takes many hours of pain staking attention to bring the car to this level, but the end result means this car will last for many years to come.
May I recommend JS Auto’s to other Jensen members. Jim Smith is also a true expert on Chrysler V8’s and everyone in the area brings their cars to him knowing full well he’ll get them running even if he has to rebuild the engines from scratch. Incidentally, Jim Smith was the only mechanic out there (other than Alan Bray of Kestrel Classic Cars) who diagnosed the recent Jensen’s engine vibration was a miss-matched torque converter.

Re: OHU IM RESTORATION WORK
I suspect Jim is near Kidderminster, West Midlands, west of Birmingham.
I'm sure his details would be useful for many folk.

Re: OHU IM RESTORATION WORK
I second your recommendation Chris. Along with doing a first class job, Jim really knows his Jensen stuff, also a top bloke to have a good old natter withChrisB wrote:Great work Jim Smith. Re: OHU IM RESTORATION WORK
Pieman, also more politely known as Mark, is still the Yorkshire JOC representative even though he doesn’t own a Jensen. I still keep in touch with Mark and provide him with regular updates about his previous owned Interceptor. He’s always pleased to hear about the car and I’m sure he won’t be able to resist buying another given the chance.
