An Interceptor described as an SP (I doubt it) and another FF due to be sold by ACA at one of their next two scheduled auctions as part of the "Dales Collection".

It could be FF no 255, that I sold to that part of the UK. It was sold with a new six pack and alloy Edelbrock manifold. That could explain why the auctioneer thought an SP was involved. The FF engine was not in the car when it was sold, and the six pack was not fitted on the engine either.

There’s the back end of a 3rd car in
another of the photos.

Possibly the SP mentioned ?

It does look like a 3rd car doesn't it? The chrome rear bumper and the non-Mk1 fuel filler flap support the theory that it isn't the other cars from a different angle......

Plus the "J" badge on the rear quarter suggests a later MK3

The Lotus Cortina looks interesting in the back ground, the stripe is "wrong" but is the same as my car, put on by the dealers for all MK2 Lotus Cortinas. I wonder if this is one of the sister cars to mine,( there were 3 registered with consecutive reg numbers) of which only mine is known to have survived.

DLM 26 J was on recorded on a 1971 Series 2 Interceptor Chassis No 123/4086 and this car was originally Berkeley Brown with Beige Interior

I called Anglia in my break.

They told me it’s an FF & SP. I mentioned that the lower
car was a Mk2 and they replied “if you say so”

Very unhelpful and couldn’t give me any details and thought
it was just two cars. Typical auction house.

Were SP's originally fitted with the J badges on the rear quarters?
