JIA Carbon Fibre Bonnet & GRP Roof Panel

Post by Arcnewal »

I was browsing JIA's Twitter feed today and came across a couple of projects that they're currently doing.

That carbon fibre bonnet must shed a few pounds off the cars weight.

Got to admire the JIA boys they are pushing boundries with the projects that they do, it must be a great feeling to be creating modern driving vehicles in these old cars and using all new parts mostly, makes the work much cleaner all round well done guys keeping our marque alive in other circles,,

I am quite interested in the roof panel as I have a websato roof that I would like to fill in, maybe this is a good option...

That's a hell of an investment by JIA - must be pretty sure of a return - good on them !

A good metal man could fill in the roof, surely?

Wasn't there someone recently looking for a Webasto roof. I know there is one on eBay for silly money. Perhaps a deal could be done.

When I get round to doing it I will put my websato on the forum. If someone is willing to cut a hole in their roof to fit it I will send the dimensions and have their roof panel as a swap!

If you take a drive up to JIA Francis.. you may find a complete roof skin in the skip.. or ask them nicely to save the next one after "cutting it off really carefully please!!!" ... They are nice chaps there and helped me out in the past... You've got the beard!! Image
