67 Mk 1 LHD
Re: 67 Mk 1 LHD
BritArms doesn't really want to sell it.
If he did, he would have posted photos of it himself, (Edit; Immediately, instead of letting someone else beat him to it.)
advertised it more widely, talked about the features.
He's just having us on.

We always recommend to people looking for Jensens that they keep an eye on this forum. Your name and contact details and location might help- not everyone is registered and will be familiar with the PM. An extensive photo documentation would be available I assume? Lovely car, Mk1s are very sought after. I agree with Joerg about the wire wheels. Not sure what is meant by a Mk3 nose extension?

This is a beautiful interceptor.
I just think its a little confused,
for me perhaps another 5k spent is the way foreward,
fit original rostyle type wheels,
remove the to late door mirrors fit original type,
remove the more modern headlight surrounds and refit correct age type,
remove that air filter and fit correct old type,
and last i think fit correct type brake fluid reseviour.
Thats about it from the pictures i see, good luck Brit arms we all think our children are beuatiful

Re: 67 Mk 1 LHD
I like the way that the car is referred to having an "English Accent" as opposed to a Brummie one -
I could also relate to this "...accidentally hit the accelerator after the car was in gear." been there, done that and, as I wrote about for the JOC mag, I remain genuinely glad I did so.
Having arrived at our destination, I had parked up but was sticking out of the space slightly. I was moving the car forward slightly in the parking space and only part sat in the car - with my right leg actually hanging out of the car, I allowed it to 'creep' forward in 'drive'. When the 18 inch manoeuvre was complete, my left foot went to gently apply the brake... ooops! I launched the car forward, over a temporary parking barrier and was lucky to have only ripped the exhaust off, snapping the manifold in the process. Irrespective of little damage to the car, it could've been so very much worse - had my wife been stood in front of the car, instead of slightly to the left, I'd have run her over. Had the family alongside us that were removing things from their boot been in front, I'd have killed two children.
I'm not gonna say that I won't make mistakes when driving - I'm only human after all - but I will never be so flippant again. Such a valuable lesson learned the easy way.

You keep popping up with these reminders.BritArms wrote:Now the only MK 1 in California . The only other two in the USA are in Las Vegas Nevada And Massachusetts
Have you advertised it anywhere else?
It's now 15 months since you put the car on the Forum, on this thread.
And you've said very little about what special features the car has.
(Air-conditioning, teleportation device, dilithium crystal storage pod, spectrographic analyser...?)
Those wire wheels would look terrific on a 541.

Re: 67 Mk 1 LHD
Yes, but with all the later mods, by K & D, they could have been retro-fitted.
Re: 67 Mk 1 LHD
Ok..So for Mr ah1951...I have not advertised the car anywhere else..Im not aggressively trying to sell it. But as the saying go " Every thing is for sale "..If I was to sell it I would presume someone on here would appreciate the car for what it is..And also acknowledge the quality of the work performed by Doug Meyers..Remember this was his personal car for 30 + years..Anyone on here doubt this car. Im sure Richard Calvert will vouch for this car..As far as the wheels..Well I personally like them..But i do have a set of original ones that go with the car..
