Shocking! Here's hoping it's swiftly found and the thieves get what they deserve.

Does anybody have the chassis number?

Chris Sheard Jnr writes on FB:
"This is my old car! The registration is the same but mine was Orange and too far gone to fix, worth nothing but scrap? I'm confused how it could have been restored in only a few months then taken to a car show and stolen?"

Chris Sheard responded:
" We got this car to restore but it was too far gone for use so we used it for parts still got the engine and gearbox. This car was the beneficiary in the picture"

I'm a bit confused.

Interesting ?

Car is show with MOT , but no previous MOT history

Think Chris might have found something not quite right.

This is a bit too close to me for comfort but after searching through the records I have found that the car was owned by a member in Holmfirth way back in 1987 and the chassis number was 13257. (However in the chassis data book the original registration for the car was ONX 69 M and it was mustard!) I can't tell from the picture but it should be a Mark I from August 1973. I know parts cars were bought for the chassis numbers to transfer to older cars and avoid road tax but this car would have been too young for that. I will keep a look out for it but it does seem a bit odd in view of Chris' comment - unless it's now a personal plate on a different car.
