Hi Sceptre 383,
I think one Interceptor is enough work for most people!

In your old garage, that's a Datsun Fairlady at the end, isn't it?

Arcnewal , I did have a go with wix.com but it's not that straightforward, I'm hoping

Sorry to disappoint Pymmie but the iWeb program is not supported by, or available from Apple anymore. :( I think you will have to speak to Zac - Wordpress might be an option. I am told that it might be possible to creat a page for each car and allow the owner to amend and update their own page. This of course might cause other problems.

Wordpress is a content management system used to create websites similar to the Joomla! product we use for the club website.

I am working on the new Registrars / Membership system which will enable the registars to keep track of the cars and provide content against the car / owner / history to be shown on a website similar to Steve Hickey's. This is a bespoke Joomla component that I am developing myself. I am concentrating on sorting out some bugs before handing it to a couple of the registrars for testing. I will also need to write a user guide to give them a clue :-). Should be with them for testing before Christmas (and this time I am saying this year). While the registrars (including Steve and Pymmie) are sorting the content I will develop the front end of the website to show the data entered (or that we want people to be able to see).

Before someone moans about the time taken to develop this again this is being done at no cost to the club (we did have a member offering to do this but charging the club a few thousand a year). Free stuff takes time

Hi John

Have you got this one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jensen-Interc ... Swax5Y1ll4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I can just about make out the registration from the V5 shown in the eBay ad - JDC 270L - but this is an H series Interceptor first registered in October 1972. Strange.

See you next Sunday at Haynes!

Best wishes,
Nigel

Thanks for the info Nigel.

It is a H series registered in Oct 1972.

The G series only ran from Aug 1971 until May 1972 , approx 332 RHD

I would think the H series would be a good car to have due to the power output

on the 7.2 before all the smog stuff was fitted.

Regards

Yeah, but if you read the blurb in the eBay ad, it says the car has the 383 engine and has a K registration number. Which would suggest the V5 is from a different Interceptor. Might be worth getting in contact with the seller to check?

The photo of the V5 on the ebay listing is RBY 54K which according to DVLA was first registered in December 1971. I have RBY 54K listed as chassis no. 128/4383 (ex factory 23.11.71).

128/4585 (ENK 3K) was ex factory 10.4.72, therefore RBY 54K was first registered.
