Another successful event for the JOC
Another successful event for the JOC
Last weekend, in Castle Topacz near Wroclaw, Poland, 6. MotoClassic international event took place with over 300 classic cars and 19,000 visitors in 3 days. As part of that event we held our 1. International Jensen Meeting with our own stand featuring 15 cars including: a 541S, a Volvo P1800 by Jensen, two FFs, two JHs, three Convertibles and six Interceptors.
We were awarded two prizes: an award from "AutoBild Classic" for the best club stand and a special prize from the organizers of MotoClassic.
The Club and the marque have received a lot of publicity including two articles on Interceptors in August issues of the two largest Polish classic car magazines, i.e.: "Classicauto" and "Automobilista" but also thanks to interviews for the local radio as well as for one of the nationwide TV stations, not to mention accolades and positive remarks in different media coverage after the event.
We also had three of our cars (two Convertibles and a FF) presented at the "Classicauto" magazine stand.
On Saturday afternoon we did a stage presentation of five cars, which went live on the Internet.
In addition, on Sunday, Jens Jansen together with his FF, took part in a photo shooting for an article about FFs prepared by one of the magazines.
Congratulations go to:
- Lis and Sjef van der Wee from Bern, Switzerland who were awarded "Best Jensen of the Show" for their magnificent, completely restored 541S,
- Iren Joeleht and Mart Liho from Tallinn, Estonia, who received "Most Reliable on Road" award for covering over 1400 kms from Tallinn to Wroclaw in their beautiful, Tangerine Jensen-Healey.
- Jens Jansen and Arne Jensen from Munich, Germany, who won "Fastest on Track" prize for the best result among Jensens in the rally driving Jens' mighty FF.
Special thanks go to all 25 Jensen Meeting participants for taking part and helping me at the show. I had a great time with you (not only at the bar!) and I hope you enjoyed your stay in Poland. Our success would not be possible without you being there and I do hope to see you again next year.

On Saturday we did a stage presentation of some of our cars. I did some history of the marque and tech talk while Polish TV celebrities Joanna Zientarska and Krzysztof Ibisz did the entertainment. Photos by Jens Jansen.

Re: Another successful event for the JOC
This really was an enjoyable event. The hotel was very upmarket (God knows what I was doing there ) The hotel owner also owns a nearby motor museum with some very expensive and exotic classics. The cars were beautifully displayed within the hotel/museum grounds. There were also large stands by modern motor manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes, Porsche. Szymon Rajwa had organised the event meticulously and had tempted several owners to bring their cars along. The awards were well deserved and Szymon has certainly raised the profile of the marque in Eastern Europe. I'm looking forward to next year. Dziekuje ci.

It really was a joy, fantastic place, great hotel, good food, lots of people.
And to quote a famous chairman: "Cheap as chips"
Well done Szymon.
