Clearly not for sale at the moment and there is certainly no harm in being optimistic but if it did achieve that price it would surely set the world record price for an Interceptor.

If I'd spent £130,000 on a car, I'd claim it was worth more than £120,000. Who knows,it might be.

It will be worth a lot less if he keeps leaning on it with his elbows. A good way of putting dents in the tops of the wings.

Last Sunday I joined my local car club for Sunday lunch at Carnforth Station in the Brief Encounter museum. After lunch the two speakers were a gentleman who has restored Erics old Rolls Royce having found it rotting away in a scrap yard and also Erics chauffeur who recounted his days driving the Interceptor and the Rolls. All very interesting, he enjoyed driving the Interceptor and was sorry he wasn't allowed it's use on his days off! He was aware of the restoration and is in contact with the current owner and still has some of the correspondence between Eric and the Jensen factory. As has been said the main reason for the change to a Rolls was the difficulty of extracting Eric from the back seat on arrival at celebrity functions. The Rolls was fitted with an ash tray in the dash by special request for Erics pipe and despite a total rebuild with new interior occasionally the smell of tobacco permeates the interior, spooky.

The car left the Jensen factory in West Bromwich on 23 September, 1968, and was delivered to Morecambe shortly afterwards.
What is the chassis number? Must be very close to mine. I have just received the documentation from Robeys about 2943 which was delivered on that exact date!

Just in case that article disappears:
Purchased by Silverstone Auctions in September, 2014, the car has had a full restoration by Jensen specialist Cropredy Bridge, which was completed in July 2015.
The car will be for sale on the stand, with the price available on application. The London Classic Car Show takes place at the ExCeL centre on 18-21 February.
And a website for the car: http://www.ericmorecambesjensen.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks to Chris' link I see Morecambes car is 2977 - 34 cars between his and mine. Jensen must have been very busy at that time.

2943 is recorded as ex-factory on 23/8/1968. 1 month before Morecambe's.
