Yorks Area Autumn Weekend 2015

Post by Mark Maniatt »

Howdy all,

It's time once again to announce the venue for our annual Yorkshire Area promoted Autumn Weekend. This years event is once again being held on the third weekend of September 18/20th and we return after a three year break to one of our favourite venue's,The Kings Head Hotel nr Keswick in the glorious Lake District.

For those unfamiliar with this wonderful old hostelry,it boasts a traditional cosy Lakes atmosphere with log burning stove, real ales,an award winning restaurant and well appointed and comfortable bedrooms. The views both in front and behind are truly majestic.A short drive away are the town of Keswick to the West and to the East are the village of Grassmere and a little further on the town of Ambleside which was recently voted the favourite place in the country to live.
A few miles on and your at Windermere in the heart of the Lakes.

You will arrive on Friday afternoon and have time to catch up with friends old and new before enjoying a three course meal
Kicked off with our now traditional Bucks Fizz.

Saturday morning and following a belly buster breakfast its time to fire up the Jenny's for a scenic drive around some of the
finest countryside to be had anywhere on this island. You will be back early enough to take in some shopping and the like before your second go at the Kings Head menu.Drinks around the fire to round off a busy day before another solid nights sleep.

Sunday morning checkout and a chance to take a boat ride from Ambleside to Windermere and a look around the unique Lakes shops and take tea/coffee before heading back to the boat and your cars for a safe trip back home.

Rates for Dinner/Bed/Breakfast per Person are just £70.Total for a couple sharing for the two nights therefore will be just £280.00.As with most Lake District hotels, rooms are quite limited so early booking is strongly advised. There is a sister hotel,The Travellers Rest in nearby Grassmere that we have used as an overflow hotel in the past. You will however have all your meals at the Kings Head.

To book call:0500 600725 quoting Jensen Owners Club Weekend.

See you there,
