This article is from American motoring magazine Motor Trend dated November 1957. The number plate OEA 300 is visible in the boot of the car. Referring to Richard Calvers indispensable Jensen chassis data book I saw that this car was 541/95, built in red with a red interior destined for the USA. Does anyone know the story behind this car and whether it still exists? The magazine also has an article on the new Chrysler Golden Commando V8 that Jensen were soon to adopt in their cars...

541/95 has a great history - just Google the owner's name. Aside from Quentin Keynes, it was owned later by Keith Andrews who is possibly an even more famous name in Jensen circles. I last heard of it for sale, en France, for 80,000 euro earlier this year.

Re: USA Jensen 541
Quentin went on to own a bright yellow Gordon Keeble - also still existing.

Re: USA Jensen 541
The story is by Joe H. Wherry, would that be Joseph H. Wherry who wrote a number of motoring books?
