Re: Classic cars on the road
I was very pleased to see that the Classic Cars on the Road thread I started in Jan 2009 has now received 255,401 viewings and 3164 replies.
Classic car spotting is a great hobby that you can indulge in at any time. At work or at play it only takes a sec to take a snap.
I began to wonder why my previously prolific contributions have tailed off as I haven?t stopped taking pictures but on reflection it?s because it?s become such a fag to upload them onto Photobucket, Flicker etc , wait for the pauses and vagaries of the suite, resize, etc. etc. that I just haven?t bothered. It just takes too long????..
I contribute to another Forum where photos are uploaded simply and quickly onto the forum?s server and remain there rather than being subject to a Photobucket type host or the poster of the photo deciding to delete it.
Isn?t it about time we moved to this type of system?
I recall it?s been discussed before but perhaps the Committee and webmeisters might like to reconsider this?
Here?s what I?ve been doing lately?????.
Just to prove the point this lot took over an hour to upload and resize etc.

I tend to agree Barrie, I can't be bothered to go through the photobucket procedure(I'm not a good computer buff) and would prefer something easier to manipulate. Saw a beautiful aston DB4 superleggera today at the golf club but no camera 4299FH reg but it looked like a DB5

I have to agree with Barrie here, I just cant be arsed to go through a 3rd provider, it would be much easier to do it directly

Just interesting observation.
Looking to the traffic photos 40 years ago you dont see much Rollses, Ferraris or Jensens or other übercars. But in the from the amount of classic car on the road today, they are dominating, or at least have great share

Love classic cars!

I suppose, if you pay more for something, you will look after it better.
Anyway, that Amphicar shouldn't be in this thread. It's not on the road!
