100 mile charity run

Post by 73Mark111 »

I am thinking to go to this again, only it's second year but the first one was good. Some nice cars attended.

Great TC! We will have to meet up somewhere north of New Ross and do the last few miles together.
If anyone else is interested, just remember to pre-book by email. I am pretty sure you can pay the fee on the Sunday morning-I will check this- but it's an early enough start. 10 am off for the modern sports cars then quick classics, you can drive it as a fun run or a time trial.
The more the merrier!

Sunday morning for the fee is fine, just be there early enough.

Just thought I would remind Irish owners of this event,
http://wexfordrally.tripod.com/sportsandclassic.htm
The weather should be good, there is a pub lunch stop, lots of classics and great scenery. What else would you want to be doing on a Sunday!

Yesterday's classic and sports drive was excellent on all counts, cars, scenery
and mid summer like weather. Thank goodness for the a/c!
There were about 180 cars of all ages, lots of 911s, SLs, a few Ferrari plenty of TRs and some American muscle too. Not to mention the E types and some stunning MK2 Mexico and RS Escorts.
The Interceptor covered 165 miles in total, including the 100 mile route, with effortless sophistication.
Being the only Jensen, the Int attracted a fair bit of attention and many positive comments. I also heard a few, 'look, a Jensen Interceptor!', from the people who lined the streets of New Ross as we set off.

I had not seen one of these before. My female co-driver thought it was very cute indeed!
I didn't get many pics as I forgot the camera! So these are just with my phone.
Looking forward to next year already, hopefully I won't be the only Jensen!
