Last Three Counties Meet for 2011

Post by DerekCV8 »

Just a quick reminder that our last meet for 2011 will be this Saturday, 24th September, at the Hermit of Redcoats.

We usually meet up there at about midday and have something to eat around 1pm.

Hope to see lots of you there!

What a prima donna you are, Martin! Is Letchworth not good enough for you now you are a TV star?

Martin I don't know you but would I be correct in assuming that you were the suave gentleman that had the "ST1" Jensen at the beginning of the clip?

If so can understand that you would look down your nose at Letchworth.....

 thankfully, nothing to do with "STI" and thankfully, not as bad as the doorman who met Simon Templar!

I actually like Letchworth by the way :D

After 16 years of Jensen ownershipl I attended my first JOC event today at the Hermit. Didn't get to meet everybody but very much enjoyed admiring the cars on show. My 541 broke down this morning so did not get to bring it. Next time!

Special thanks to RAP72 who gave me a lift home in his lovely MK1.

Regards to all

Steven

Also thanks to Derek for organising it and bringing the Beast for us to admire. Everything seemed in place even the wasp catcher or grill as he called it.

That was ST1, Martin, not STI - you wouldn't want to put that on the front of your posemobile.

Thanks to everyone who came along yesterday..... and sorry to hear about those that had car problems.. (Steven, Adam)... but don't be disheartened.... that's all part of the fun of owning a Jensen!!

Below are a few pictures I took.....

Look forward to our get togethers again next year! My last appearance of 2011 will be at the NEC at Birmingham with my early Interceptor. If anyone plans on going along, I'm sure we can find the bar?!

Lovely motors. Easy to see why a pair of nice Jensens are better than a pair of nice Bristols.....

Hope to be at the NEC in November for a day. Not sure day which yet.
