The Jensen Owners' Club

As Zac is away at Le Mans, I made contact with the organisers of the show and can confirm that JOC can have space at this show.

They have a number of car clubs, with the two biggest probably going to be Jaguar and BMW with Mercedes closely following.

Zac and I have said we would support this and take our cars for the two days at £5.00 per car per day and so we have a Interceptor, a CV8 but can have space for up to another four cars without a problem, but entries will close in a few weeks.

If you could let me know in Zac’s absence and then arrangements can be made and "Car Club" applications can be then processed.

If you know of any other new members then please pass this on as this list seems to have some old addresses.

I have attached the link to the show. Once we can gauge interest / commitment, then Zac or I can then organise this with the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club as they coordinate the event.

Well the space has now been booked for the show and for those that have not currently come forward, here are some details below.

I have booked a JOC stand area and registered the JOC with the organisers, currently for four cars each day but we can slip in another if we need.

These are the people that have said they would come so far:

Saturday:

Clive Bishop - Interceptor - series 3
Zac Marshall - CV8
Tony Marshal - Jensen Healey
Charles Ware - Interceptor - series 1

Sunday:

Clive Bishop - Interceptor - series 3
Zac Marshall - CV8
Tony Marshal - Jensen Healey

I know that one or two are looking at the Sunday only, which would be good, but if anyone with other variants would like to come Saturday or Sunday then please let me know - especially anyone with a 541 just to make it variant complete across the weekend.

I cannot attach a booking form to this forum and so if you contact me with your details and then I can send it to the organisers – Jaguar Enthusiast Club or contact me with your email address by PM and I'll send you directly the booking form which you can send off directly. I will pay for the whole thing and then you can pay me the £5.00 per day when we see each other and if you don't turn up - I will find you

In view of the potential weather variables I will also take a shelter that I have so that we have a sun / rain protection for us….I will take it in the boot of the other cars I have there and then space allowing we can use that if needed.

UPDATE:

Tony cannot come on the Sunday so we are two cars down .......any offers to fill the space for £5.00 per car....this also gives entrance to the main show ( a country fair style) which is cheaper than paying to go in as individuals.

Please contact me as soon as possible as entries close on Monday next week.

A big thanks to all that came to the show over this last weekend. Hopefully a good time was had by all.

There were plenty of stories going around and it was nice to see other JOC members, past and present there.

In the end we had the following:

Maybe if the area wants to do this show again next year it can be planned further in advance and maybe, just maybe we can at least fill the model range with a 541,SV8 and maybe a few other Interceptor variants.

It was also good to see that with the JH's and CV8 holding front line that there was a lot of interest with the Interceptors taking a slightly back stage presence........
