Is anything going on in this region

Post by Clive Bishop »

Are there any sort of meets happening in this region? Would be good to meet other "locals" as I am looking for a S II / III and so all knowledge I can get would be great.

There is mention of meeting some Sundays at a pub, but is this happening? I belong to anther car club and they have a meeting once a month during the week and so thought I would ask here.

Hi Clive,

Why not give Zac Marshall or Paul Lewis a call? Both are friendly chaps and will be happy to discuss anything that's perhaps not listed here.

Hey Clive.
Like most clubs, it's the volunteers that make things happen.
Zac and Lewi can speak for themselves, but I guess that we are all busy these days.

BUT....I'd love to have a regular meet up, monthly or even quarterly!

Let's see if we can pull something together, even if it's to tack onto another clubs equals meet. If it works, we can branch out ourselves if that seems appropriate at the time.

There's a large gathering this weekend at 'Thornfalcon Classics' Nr Taunton.

Not sure if any Jensen's are going , but always a good meet with over 1000 cars for a 1 day event.

Weather's not looking good..

Well even if it is an informal thing, it would be good to try and meet up even quarterly. I work overseas a lot and so I can be away when things happen which is why I only get top th BMW regional meets 3 - 4 times a year despite them having a monthly get together at a pub one evening a month.

If this is going to vaguely happen, it would be sensible to know where the regional contingent are based...I am in Clevedon, North Somerset and I know of another car close to me and apparently there are others but who these people are I have no idea. Obviously it will depend on individuals desire to have a social chat as I guess there are no formal matters to go through and of course work restrictions etc.

Any thoughts?

Pymmie - It looks a interesting show but like you said the weather on Sunday is due to be pants!!!
