Autumn Classic Weekend - 05th & 06th October

see inside for newsletters, contacts and planned events etc

I have sent details out to all in the region but if you didn't get the email with booking forms for some reason, then details are also here:

With so much going on over the summer, the next JOC Wessex events are over the weekend of the 05th / 06th October, where there will be an Autumn Classic weekend!

This is made up of two separate events as mentioned below, with two separate booking forms which you will have to email me for (Wessex@joc.org.uk) as I cannot upload them. You can pick and choose whether you go to one or make a weekend of it and do both.

Saturday 05th October – Autumn Classic Race series – Castle Combe, near Chippenham

As with previous years I have registered to take some track side space for the day and will be there with the JOC event shelter, van and refreshments. It would be nice not to rain this year but that certainly adds a bit of fun to the racing on the day.
This year the organisers are being very strict on timescales and so please make sure that you apply for space through us with the booking form by the deadline at the end of August! After then we cannot guarantee that the entrance as the number of clubs wanting to go is rising and they have a limit to the number of clubs and cars they can allow in the area that we are in – just after the start / finish line and the paddock/ pits.

I also have a limit of 10 Jensen cars for the day and so early booking is also preferable.

Sunday 06th October – Anglo American Classic – Prescott Hill, near Cheltenham

This is a first for the JOC Wessex region to have a club stand inside the course and after having to cancel the May event, I am hoping that you will support the day with the following hill climb events going on. Again there is a strict deadline for payment for tickets and also space is limited to 10 cars for the day.

Sunday 06th October sees championship rounds for 500 Owners Association, Austin Healey, Morgans, Aston Martins, American Marques, the final round of our Henney's Cider Classic Championship as well as the Bugatti Car Handicap.
First car on the track approx. 8.30am both days. Scheduled finish time around 5.30pm

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us
