Drive It Day

Post by brendan »

It's drive it day next Sunday the 17th

Had a look in the FBHVC site the only thing near is the Morris oxford club.

Not my thing B roads at 20/30 miles an hour.

Is any one up for a run.

Had a word with pete next door but one with a stag they may be joining another club for a run.

I would have though there was enough of them but my be not.

If I get a chance to speak to him mite be nice to all join together.

Fish an chips or pub grub.

Any one fancy it.

Well I gess no one fancied it.

Not even my car it though a hissy fit.

The starter motor had to be swopped the power master only operated less than a dozen times before it failed.

Me an the good lady had a lovely afternoon.

A nice drive to Gothland where heartbeat is filmed.

Called to see the East Yorkshire classics in the train station car park.

Then drive into Witby for fish and chips in the restaurant over looking the harbour.

All in all a nice day but not alot of classic on the road :?

A bit late now, but maybe worth noting for next year:
To recognise Drive It Day, Stan Allison & Greg Knight, together with a group of friends from various clubs, gathered together for a 33 mile run around East Yorkshire. A glorious day, with nine cars spanning five decades, culminated with a carvery lunch at The Broadlands near Bridlington.
Presumably Greg Knight the fanatical multiple Jensen owner and MP.
