These are Martin Ritchie's FF I and Interceptor III.

Martin took the plunge with the Interceptor after coming to the Classic LeMans in friend Stephen Zacaroli's C-V8 and realising what a nice bunch us Jensen owners are. (No, really!). OK then........

Images shamelessly nicked from Martin.

Nice pair Martin!! :D

but how are you going to protect that nice block paved drive from the inevitable Jensen oil patches!!??

I prefer gravel, when it gets oily, just order some more!!

Thanks Kieron (and Zac - wasn't I supposed to send you some pictures then forgot?????? Sorry if that was the case!)

I feel chuffed to be "car(s) of the month"!!!!!!

Yes it's true, a friendly meeting at Classic Le Mans 2006 changed my life

The block paved drive gets jet washed each year, so it stays clean for about 1 week........

Anyway, most of the oil you can see came off a C-V8 :!:

Then the next most oil came off a Volvo 940............ (Volvo oil out of shot on these pics - AND NOT MINE!)

Regards, Martin.

Only saving grace about my V70 is that its AWD. If only Jensen had made LHD FF's...

I guess that the FF is a totally different drive to the Interceptor?

I had heard from various people that the FF is quite different to drive compared to an Interceptor, however, I somehow thought "well, it's basically the same car, so can't be all that different".

BUT, I was wrong, it is, to me, a very different driving experience altogether; much sharper steering, less body roll, much more precise, quicker turn-in and feels much more like a modern car than my Interceptor (which has had the front suspension re-built, new shock absorbers all round, bushes etc.)

So yes, it it really is very different to drive!

Looking under the bonnet and under tha car though, I can see that to have made a LHD version would have ben a very big job for a company with a general lack of funds to fianance such an undertaking................ Pity though, as LHD and USA sales might have made the difference...............

And I guess that its nearly impossible to convert one to LHD, wonder if any brave soul has ever tried?

I don't know why but that extra 4 inches at the front makes a world of difference to the design (for the better). Do you know which was designed first?

Wonderful, do you have any photographs, I can only imagine that a convertible FF looks stunning with that long nose?
