Valve covers

Post by JHV8 »

Are the Jensen valve covers small block “Square hole” Chevy covers or earlier “Staggered hole” Chevy covers?
I've got a Rover V8 in my Jensen-Healey and I found a company that does adapters but the choice is as above.
16 valves but 4 extra pistons.

I've never seen Chevy valve covers in a Jensen. Please elaborate.

you have Chevy 383 or 440 engines in Interceptors don’t you? The jensen valve covers were put on after the engines were delivered so they must have a Chevy bolt pattern. According to the adapter supplier there are two types staggered or square.

The 383 and 440 are Chrysler, not Chevrolet.
The future ain’t what it used to be.
