Oil Pump Drive Bush
Started my engine rebuild tonight, and pulled out the oil pump/distributor drive bush, in about 10 pieces. It was made of an alloy which just crumbled on removal. If anybody is doing any distributor work, it would be prudent to see what type of bush is fitted, and change if alloy, as surely mine was a failure waiting to happen. Have replaced with a brass bush which came with the new drive.
