Milodon billet oil pump and cover - will it fit?

Post by Jorrocks »

Has anyone fitted these successfully to a 440 engined Int.? I am looking at these:
https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/ ... /overview/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

With this cover, but with blanking plug in place of the AN fitting on the side:
https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/ ... /overview/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks in advance!

As long as your engine mountings are in good shape you will get the pump in but probably not the cover.

You will need to undo the engine mount on that side to get the pump in.

I understand the pump but why the cover?

Because I’m a tart and a sucker for lumps of machined alloy! :oops: :oops: Seriously, I wasn’t sure the steel Jensen cover would be compatible.

The engine’s out of the car so access not a problem thankfully!

Jeorg, every time I see your engine, either in the flesh or any photo, makes me envious. It is a thing of engineering beauty.

Thanks Daniel,
It really helps to know for sure that something will fit when you’re ordering from the US!

Looking at these pictures - I personally would stay with the origiunal Jensen oil pump cover.
Much thinner and better locations of the pick up´s.

The std cover is ok but when you go to an external dual pickup sump you can no longer run the original oil pump cover

No still a wet sump but instead of picking up oil through the 1/2 or 9/16 port in the block it picks it up externally from the sump via 2 3/4 lines ill post some pics when i can
