On my Interceptor Mk1, with the 383 engine, there are tabs on the RH rocker cover for which I am not sure why these are there.
There are two, and both have two bendable tabs. They are located inside the V of the engine.
Could it be that these are there to guide the tube for the temp sensor? In my car the tube is not routed via the engine but via the inner wings. Can it be that other cars with this engine did route the tube via these tabs?
Just wondering why these tabs are there.

Re: Tabs on the RH rocker cover
The tabs are original on your RH rocker cover. They should guide the heater-pipe back from the heater-matrix to the water pump.

Re: Tabs on the RH rocker cover
the v covers are chrysler, so all tabs etc are from the use in there cars, re a jensen they would have used them to locate whatever heater pipes fuel pipes or electrical cables i doubt there is a real right or wrong use on a jensen,
