Engine mount brackets 440

Post by Raymondo »

Hi all
The car is Interceptor mk 3 1974 chassis no. 9263
I am in the process of refitting the engine 440 to the car.
Ages ago I removed the engine mount brackets that the mounts bolt to for painting etc they are both different --
my question is which side is which? or does it matter.
it will be nice to get the car back together -- it's been in my garage too long.
cheers
Ray

Ok thanks for the info.
Bracket with the internal tube on LH side (in my case drivers side as it is LHD!!!)
I am hoping to drop the engine back in tomorrow.

That's funny. I keep forgetting these were originally right hand drive. As mentioned I believe it is the left hand side that has the tube (same side as oil pump.)
