Thanks Dion and Nigel for spotting the 2 new survivors, which, along with some new photos of a car from Finland that was known but not with any detail, I have now added to the Survivors Site. Thats 353 on the list.

Finally got a chance to take a few snaps of 115/3478 & meet
the owner of over 45 years.

The mileage is still under 30,000 & car is very original.

Thanks to David Wilson for persuading Derek Webber to meet up.

We all live just 7 miles apart. Photos taken @ Labrador Bay Nr Torquay

Most peculiar radio surround: VW Beetle from the 60/70´s, Blaupunkt style.
Very nice car though!!

Browsing JIA's website and it seems that 115/3467 is now a 'Interceptor S Special LTD1'.

a few more survivors added we are now at 353 plus 5 unknown giving 358 or 34.96% survival rate. One survivor seen at Blenheim (115/2661) and a possible another seen on Facebook although, as with the other Unknowns, it could already be listed.I have called it Unknown Silver/Wire Wheels. Anyone know the car?

3467 or 2661

The car at Blenheim looks more like 3467 than 2661. It was said here recently that 3467 had been made over by Cropredy into an R or S. If that is so, then it seems to me more likely that Cropredy converted 2661 and 3467 is still more or less as was. The DVLA readout on the plate suggests that it is the 1969 car which is still registered as LSC 4F, not 2661. The features on the Blenheim car are consistent with a 1969 model rather than an early 1968.

Richard

I see where the confusion lies = you have both 2661 and 3467 listed as LSC 4F,
2661 as ex factory 26 jan 68 (every other car around the data line is 67) engine 707/15b
3467 as ex factory 15 jul 69 engine 1684/15e
other details seem the same

which is which?

I have revamped the List page, unfortunately it does not now show the actual numbers but does list all the chassis numbers so you can see where the gaps are.
The list are:
2495-3000 http://www.joc.org.uk/Interceptor_Mk_1/ ... -3000.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3001 - 3530 http://www.joc.org.uk/Interceptor_Mk_1/ ... -3530.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I keep a separate spreadsheet to record the numbers and a summary of that can be found
on the 'NUMBERS and LOCATION' page http://www.joc.org.uk/Interceptor_Mk_1/ ... tions.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We now have 359 (4 of which are unknown) or 35.09% survival and a further 32 shown as Scrapped

Over the past 2 months there have been 3 new survivors and the 'Unknown' silver MK1 with Wire Wheels has now been identified as 115/2953 which went through a lightly modified JIA improvement.

However, there are still a good number of cars that were originally identified when this list started that have not been heard of for a while.

So if you are a MK1 owner please check the revamped links and let me know if they still work and the current state of your car

Thanks

I have just added another Survivor (117/3132) to the list thanks to Andy Kreis's excellent detective work. I have also corrected the link to 115/3086 (the car currently on sale on eBay) and confirmed with the seller that it is 115/3086. However, a comment by Lars on FaceBook made me look at the MK1s allegedly in Sweden, I have 17 shown as being there but most seem to be from the original lists given to me when i started and date back to 2009-2014. So would Swedish MK1 owners please look at the entry for their cars and contact me to update the website.

I think there is no doubt about that! There will almost certainly be some "naughty" chassis numbers..

We received a note from Matthias Kollinger in Austria, that he has 115/2810. I‘ll try to get some pictures. The car is apparently in „original“ condition.

well done. 115/2810 was one of the cars I had miss-identified. I had it as being in AUStralia I have now changed it to AUStria.
