If you have a Mk1 and wish to add to the work, started by TC and Stoo, please email me using the links.

Mk1 Survivors
Brilliant!
117/3139 Tangerine/Mocha March 1969. The first Tangerine Interceptor and used as a demo car during the 1969 Geneva Show. Later sold to Edgar Schwyn, was sold from Switzerland a couple of years ago to a man in either Sweden or Denmark for restoration.
I was in contact with him briefly but, regbrettably, no longer have any contact numbers. Maybe somebody in the Jensen world in those parts will know something??

Re: Mk1 Survivors
How interesting, as Pirate Jenny (132/5577) was also first sold to Edgar Schwyn, AG and was shown at the 1972 Geneva Auto Show.ajm541s wrote:Brilliant!

This is a copy of an e-mail i got from Ole Jon in Norway regarding 117/3139 when I was digging in the history of Swedish Jensen's:
"Fra: Richard Calver [mailto:tfmuch@bigpond.com]
Sendt: lø 09.05.2009 04:33
Til: Ole Jon Tveito
Emne: INT 3139
Ole Jon
Last I heard in 2007, Skarin had sold the car to Jan Isnenghi in Germany.
Richard"
(Skarin was the owner in Sweden, Jörgen Skärin to be exact, from a town called Värnamo.)

3139
Last year I visited Jan in Bonn. I saw 3139 first time when it was for sale in Friedrichshafen in 2005. It is now stored in a dry hall.
The seller sent these picturese to me, when i was interested in the car in 2005.
There is another Ex-Schwyn Interceptor for sale in Switzerland. This car was also owned by Peter Monteverdi.

117 3159
Last month 117 3159 was advertised in a German car magazine. It is still registered and on the road.
Thanks Seba
I have created a page and album for 3139. I have assumed that 3159 is a 117 as well, but until I get more detail I have just added that to the list. If you can you find the advert I will the create a page and add that to the history.
Also thanks to all that have looked and added to this site, which was really started by TC and Stoo' s lists. We now have 91 'found' cars and about 25 albums with one or more photos. A number of others have contacted me and promised pictures and information and when that arrives I will add them to the list.
Please keep the information coming, and suggestions for improvements or errors.
You can email through the 'email me' button on the site if that helps.

Just as I finished a good few hours of updating Dion emailed with 17 number that are not on the list. These were gathered a few years ago when he was researching which car to buy.
Who said that there might be about 100 Mk1s surviving? Please stand against that bullet riddled wall and have a cigarette.
seriously thanks for all the info keep in coming.
ps I even got a nice email from the chap selling the Orkney Mk 1 - some of which I have added to that thread in Cars for Sale and his page.
