Hi Jon

Lunaz Design, based at Silverstone. I followed it down the A43 to Brackley. Looked superb.

I know Germany sometimes runs out of supplies of Umlauts, but it appears that the Swiss sign manufacturers have also run out of all the German words.
"BeautySpace", "Go big with Mini Mac", "It's your time to shine", "Sunrise". Why the obsession with English?
I would offer you some of our unwanted foreign words, but all we have is a big pile of pretentious French words left over from our Christmas perfume adverts.

Also, more to the point, Espada! Phwoar!

Funny you should notice that. I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I was sitting next to a couple of youths. They kept saying CV (Cee Vee), and then it occurred to me that it was an abbreviation for a latin? term... but you're right, the english language is everywhere.

Here a few I saw on holiday over Christmas, some I know some I don't. And I didn't see many other French cars while away.

That '58 Chevy Impala made me think of American Graffiti and Ron Howard's car, driven by nerd hero Terry the Toad. He pulled the lovely Debbie and gave hope of all of us spectacle wearers!

However, there is something different doing on with the side windows. Any one an expert? Could it be a removable hard top?

I am not an expert but it seems just the difference between a hardtop coupe and non-hardtop coupe,

My parents had a Pacer when I was a kid, the coupe not the station wagon. I was somewhat ambivalent about the car, and I don't think we had it for a very long time.

The Pacer is a wonderful car. Back when even a small motor company (AMC) had the guts trying something new on the market. Seems it was designed to house a turbine engine, fascinating history.
Nice example, I quite like it, even more than the Coupe. Seems to have it all - “wooden” sides, chrome wheels, roof rack, tinted glass, RH door mirror. I once tried to build myself a “business case” to own one. Failed of course because it is more about emotional arguments than economics - as is usually the case with classic cars.
Still, good to see one. An out-of-the-ordinary classic.
The future ain’t what it used to be.

Moody shot of Bristol 405 DHC parked outside local Chinese.
Nice to see cars like this in the street rather than in someone’s collection.
