Although I am not a mad lover of them Felix.. there is something about them that is cool..Whilst out getting a takeaway the other week which s the only time I ever read a paper, I read that a film has been made about John Delorean and his life, he sounds like he was a bit of a chap although he did get set up by the CIA apparently, butImagewho knows, I think I am going to like the film.. my sort of thingImage.

The Lotus heritage is plain to see, however, Lotus would never put the engine behind the axle.

For comparison here is a Lotus Elan chassis next to an Australian Bolwell Nagari chassis.

And here is the new Bolwell Nagari 500. It has a mid-engine 500 horsepower Chevrolet LS3 and weighs just 1000 kg thanks to the carbon-kevlar composite structure.

Thanks for learning me the DeLorean was NOT mid-engined. Always assumed it had a mid engine.

Apart from being rear-engined the chassis of DeLorean is quite similar to the mid-engined Lotus Esprit.

Colin Chapman was smart enough to take DeLorean‘s money for the chassis development and then used it for his own cars. Similar to the 507 engine where Jensen paid the bill for using an underdeveloped engine. Once all problems where fixed - Lotus had a good motor ( and Jensen where out of business).

Shame the Granda Coupe is outside. The only Granda that I didn't own.

I’m sure they’d be delighted to see you if you needed trimming work done.
I was there to choose the colour for a Webasto roof that they were to make and fit.
It looked a well-established and competent firm. They’re in Lewes East Sussex. It’s a lovely drive from London (if you avoid the motorways) through Limpsfield, Edenbridge, Hartfield, Ashdown Forest, Uckfield, and then Lewes.
Here’s their site: https://www.thetrimmingcentre.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Last weekend was the high level car show here at Americana Manhasset, a show where there are many more Ferraris and Lamborghinis in the car park than make it into the show. You can see that the Jensen was again in good company with a McClaren of some sort on one side and a 1952 DB2 on the other. The DB2, the blue Ferrari 250 and a Ferrari Dino 246 GT won prizes - all owned by the same guy!

I passed a burgundy 541 on the M6 today. Couldn’t get a picture as I was driving but nice to see one out and about.
