If you tell people you have an AC, with fibreglass body and a rear engine, they might not imagine it looks like that...

Not strictly on the road but both a rare site these days. All the cars on this transporter were apparently being imported from Ireland. The Volvo Estate at the bottom was being collected and he had saved nearly £7k rather than buy it here in the UK.

1954 Bentley R Type Continental in Twickenham. One of 208 made. Value approx. £800,000 - £900,000.

Apparently, the doors were so big and heavy that when it was parked facing up a hill, the occupants were sometimes trapped inside because they couldn't open the doors against the force of gravity!

I know somebody who bought one brand new, the dealer gave him a huge discount as it had been sat in the showroom for ages. After a couple of months and several visits to the main dealer to fix problems he swapped it in for something else, he reckoned it was design over practicality and the build quality was terrible.
