This bloke was waiting for someone outside Hamilton airport this morning - and making sure his Holden was spotless for the job.

Yes it is a replica based on a BMW Z3. The bodyshop (Paul) took a lot of time ( about 3 months off and on) to get the 'kit' to look better than it was supplied. I do the website for Paul and when he gives me the photos I will be putting the car on his site. I spoke to the owner and he was thinking of putting Wire Wheels on it. He pointed out that he had put dummy window winders on the door cards even though it has electric windows. The car fooled a lot of people,

Very nice indeed. If he is fitting wire wheels he needs to find Borrani's and nothing else in order to make it look even more genuine......

Longstone tyres are the UK importers for Borrani, they will be able to supply the correct type wheels.

I am probably getting too old and decrepit for one but probably one of the few cars I would change the Interceptor for. But at my age it is no longer practical although I always go and chat to the Piper Club when I go to the NEC classic car show. Not sure what I would feel like driving on today's roads with the Big Lorries, probably pass under them rather than around them.

Is that also a replica or a genuine car being used just to show Borrani wires?

The kit passes 'at first glance', though not perhaps second.
But here's an oldie spotted in Abercynon last week.
