Do you remember what was parked next to the Mini in the picture? Mini looks, well, so mini in comparison.

Lovely! Where have they all gone?
Trawling my memory banks this will either be a 1071cc or 1275cc Cooper S.
I would have thought from the registration it would be the former.
Anyone knowledgable out there who would care to comment?

SDE is a Pembrokeshire registration, issued in 1954, so my book tells me, so his is personalised number. I don't recall an S motif on the bonnet?

Look what was in the paddock at Brooklands today:

Jensen bodied Ford V8. Immaculate condition. Spoke to the owner; it is a 1935, not the 1936 "Clark Gable" as I ignorantly assumed. It is based near Brooklands and he uses it to go get the shopping at Sainsbury's! Says it is known to the club.

Nice find, Norman! If anything, more stylish than the "Clark Gable" '36.
The 1936 had much fuller wings, with a "helmet" profile over the wheels, and the shroud over the radiator was much bigger giving it a rounded bull-nose. Quite an evolution in styling in just one year, yet they look very similar in character.

According to the owner of the '35, the "Gable" car used Ford wings and a few other bits (in an effort to save costs perhaps), whereas the 35 one was pure Jensen - only the drive train was Ford. It's a lovely car. Only thing as a couple of people noted it looks a little tail heavy - as it was hemmed in by other cars I couldn't get a good profile shot.

Some photos of the car on the JOC stand at Bristol back in 2006 when Richard Dyson Harvey owned it. Includes some photos of the car in my garage waiting for Richard to pick it up after the show.....

No profile shots unfortunately but some people may find them interesting.

I have always liked this car, unlike the Jensen Woody I could reach the pedals :D

Zac, when you say 'the' car on the Club Stand in 2006 I guess you do mean this very same car given that the registration number is the same. But how strange to repaint (in a completely different colour) what appears to be a car in immaculate condition, albeit eight years ago. Superb car though, Jensen at its simple best.

That's Robin and Natalie's car, trying to work out if the arm belongs to a man or lady :D

I think this was the first time for a few years that they didn't come to Classic LeMans. I remember Natalie and Hayley
Johnson (Steve and Tracy's daughter) causing a bit of a stir, two young ladies driving through Arnage in an Interceptor.

YBP5G is the car that was featured on the front of Interceptor Gold Portfolio, back when it was brown.
