Went to a wedding with the Jensen and the groom arrived in this nice Wolseley

And after the ceremony, left in his beloved TR3

Whta is not said is that during th ceremony, I noticed the rear right tyre on the Wolseley to be flat, so went in, stole the car key and together with another friend, we changed the tyre while everyone else was listening to the "Yes". I had never changed a wheel on a mini with a suit and tie.

After that, the "special cars" parking was nice too although some might see it a bit too Porsche centric

I once had to change a wheel at about 1130 at night on the M25 on a Morris Minor Traveller. Nothing unusual except I was wearing full dinner jacket, bow tie etc at the time!

(My Trombone was in the boot!)

It's good to know that you maintain the standards Dave.
Saw this yesterday in Newport...

took the Jensen in to get the rear leaf springs replaced. Angelo had a pair of Ferarri 308s to work on. You can just make out the Jensen parked outside.

I was walking around Harley St in London W1 bemoaning the lack of decent cars when a few years ago I could count on seeing a couple of Alvis T series and a Rolls or two, all with hospital car park permits, but then I came upon this. It's an S3 Flying Spur Bentley in immaculate condition with a chauffeur sitting at the wheel. Lovely period colour too.

There's a very fashionable restaurant in Chelsea which is popular with show-biz types and one Saturday lunchtime I saw a crowd of hip chauffeurs (no tie, no hat etc) congregating outside.
There was a group up of Mercedes, Range Rovers, BMWs and even a Maybach (all black :| ) but this James Young Silver Cloud was easily the most eye-catching.
Obviously the owners were having a bit of a boys' day out!

We used to have a VW 1600 Variant in the early 70ies, it was the working horse when my parents build our house.

And the family of five plus dog went to holidays in it - brilliant car.
