The M1 was pretty well perfect styling wise, thanks to Giugiaro. Did you know it was partly built in Turin?

It’s basically a Pantera with a BMW engine.

Good looking, yes, but certainly not groundbreaking.

Just my £.02 shekels.

Rocky

Oh, and expensive, too (for better or worse!)

A Bristol Lodekka I think. Identification helped by having the name painted in large letters on the side! Distantly related to the famous Bristol cars.

I‘d like to point out how mature and restrained I was not to mention that there was a pair of them…

Ignoring the smut (!) I could, boringly, mention that this was several inches lower than London double deckers and could pass under more bridges. Chassis and axle were lowered so no lost headroom. Hence low-decker Lodekka.

The name on the side is the logo of the Bristol Omnibus Company, based in Bristol, the city, it doesn't mean the bus was made by Bristol the company.

Edit. But it is a Bristol Lodekka (being pedantic but that's how you spell it). Can't work out which one as there are an amazing number of survivors including several in Switzerland.
