Didnt get my phone out in time to capture pics of a classic car convoy (lots of Triumph stags but also amongst others, a mk2 Jag, a frogeye sprite, Mgs and a Spitfire) enjoying the fabulous driving roads of Pembrokeshire whilst there for the weekend. Not sure how 'on the road' these two are but...

Wow, I dig the '57 Chevy. I owned a '56 in the same color combination, metallic blue and pale blue for a couple of years.
Only a 265 V8 and 2 speed Powerglide but it sure wasn't a slouch.

Another classic visitor to Bridgnorth this past weekend was the 1930's Alvis belonging to 541 registrars Dave and Jane Turnage.

I don't know, Alvis parked in the middle of the road and blocking someone's driveway, and owns up to being a Jensen Member. Hope he parks it better in Brittany in May!

Don't suppose he's in Bridgenorth to pick up bits for a secret Jaguar??

Last year, coming from Kirkwall I saw a familiar car:

Not sure it's the same one, didn't have a camera with me but quite a coincidence considering they only built 20 odd Beaufighters. Probably less than five blue ones. I almost bought it when it was for sale ten kilometres from where I lived.

I like the Gordon Keeble next to it.

The problem with the turbocharged Beaufighter (apart from the Marmite looks) is that the new normally aspirated 5.9 litre litre fuel injected engine that Bristol fit as a replacement is faster, more powerful and torquey, and more reliable than the original. When driving the 5.9 litre turbocharged car the turbo only cuts in when you're going really/too fast and then makes you go even faster! This can be nerve racking. This is what I found when I recently test drove a similarly engined Prototype Brigand that Bristol Cars have for sale.

Seen at a petrol station near Petersfield and probably a few more for refueling during the day. Is there an elegant way of getting in and out of one of these?

Do you mean the one marked "Cash machine"? That would get me into one, but not sure how to get out (one marked "bankruptcy court" maybe?)
