Towing with SP 8026

Post by Richard Calver »

>Not many SP’s with a Tow Bar.

Running with the bonnet unlatched. Usually a sign that the cooling system is under stress.

I thought that I was safe in claiming that my Interceptor is the most interesting car in our area. I still think that it is but this 1968 BMW 1600 GT runs a close second!

Awesome! I love 2 door Rovers (Range) since the 'Callan' movie, have a soft spot for S1 SD1's, wish I'd know about Peter Thompson's (Ex Jensen & races them, he tows a Gt40 with his SP!!!!) Peter had mint SD1 V8-S, my fav & in platinum, was at NEC last year I think

On that thread, these are still on road....

Thats Ali Watson, of early Interceptor convertible fame he partners Mick (who has both versions) great guy's.

Snap! Very good. And that RR has the correct wheels, so wins in my book.

Makes a change from the usual Lycra-clad GoPro wearing cyclists we sometimes get in London.
Not quite sure what the purpose is though.

One assumes that he had been entered to take part in that enormous parade and stuff that they have in Rio de Janeiro but, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, his trip was cancelled.
So he decided to forge on on his own, down the High Street, not to be disappointed.

I saw this in Bath a few weeks ago - I've always like these.
Now (whisper it...) doesn't it have the vaguest whiff of a droopsnoot Vauxhall Firenza?

What great spot's this week chaps!
That HA looks like poss the best original-

400 & related, Lovely my favorite 'F' (after the 365GTC/4) - worth little for ages, how fickle fashion, when a 246,which isn't even a Ferrari is worth a house!?!
A few conversions were done on this model, the last was based on the XJS cab, ie cant rails left but with a folding rear portion & lift out T-top.
That car was easy the worst hand made car I've ever worked on- It was in great shape but everything fought to not fit!
