Places to visit

Post by ajm541s »

I received this email this morning and pass it on for anyone who might be interested. Usual caveat, never ben there but it sounds OK!

Hi,

We run a 14th century pub called "The Prince Llewellyn Inn" which is situated in Cilmery, about 2 miles from Builth Wells in Mid-Wales. It is a rural pub in a village location on the A483 to Llandovery.

We are a free house and stock a wide range of real ales, lagers, wines, ciders, bottled beers and a good range of malt whiskies. Our menu is varied from black beef and ale pie, chicken wrapped in Gorgonzola with a wild mushroom sauce, steaks, fresh fish and a variety of vegetarian dishes. There is a specials board and we pride ourselves that the produce is all locally sourced and freshly cooked.

We have two bars, beer garden, large car park and a half-acre field for camping. There is also a caravan site adjacent for tourers. We serve breakfasts, lunch and dinner.

We are in a very centralised location for mid-Wales. There are some fantastic views and it is a great base from which to visit other places, such as the Brecon beacons, Devils staircase and the Dams at Rhyaedar. Builth Wells is also a very good destination in its own right with good walks, fishing and the Royal Welsh Showground
We were wondering if this might be suitable for a ride out or a central location for a week-end away.

If this is of any interest to you, please call us on 01982 552694 or email to either susieahughes@aol.com or stevethughes@hotmail.com.

Thanks and regards
