Asking for a friend.

It says on the box "4 LITRE MANUAL" so only Austin engine (541) owners will have to fend you off. The 7.2 Auto Interceptors should be safe.

Great idea! You could always buy more than one. But I don't think they're suitable for petrol.

According to the instructions in the box Keith, it is suitable for syphoning petrol. Took the old fuel out of the FF with it yesterday and put it in my old Volvo.

Felt as though I was saving myself some money :D

TOP TIP:
When sucking on a hose in order to siphon out some petrol from your car fuel tank into your lawnmower tank, use a transparent hose material so you can see the flow coming and avoid getting a mouthful of petrol.

An explanation for high UK fuel prices.
2 mins 25 secs.
(Still 42p/litre here in Bandung.)

I remember my dad doing this to replace the water in our (his) aquarium, always fun to watch. Not easy not to get a mouthful... :D

I remeber the oil shock of the early 70's. Living in US at the time I had certain access to fuel but the Gov. put a speed limit everywhere at 55 MPH rigidly enforced when you least expected it on loooong lonely empty desert roads. You had to lock your petrol cap or it was a common sight especially in South Side Chicgago where people were busy watching for you to leave your car unattended and they would suck up the fuel even breaking open the fuel flap lock to do so. Some times your wheels were gone as well. Often they didn't care if there was a passenger sitting there. "Watcha lookin at man?". Fuel 91 here in Australia is now 220cents a litre but is subject to an exise reduction of 10% so would be a lot higher. Exise is off come September. It will only get worse as the war drags on. Perhaps rationing again? The oil shock of the 70's made the US put at least 6 months supply of fuel for essential services in the ground . Interesting times. Kenny38

Not really due to the war, Kenny.
It's due to government ineptness and stupidity.
Or, more likely, DELIBERATE!

72p per litre in Moscow, so for those of you thinking a Russian invasion might bring cheapest motoring think again! Compare to Venezuela paying a reported 3 cents a litre to fill up.
