Insurance for young drivers

Post by peasy »

I'm considering trying to insure my daughter as an additional/named driver on my Healey (she will be insured on something else), does anyone know of a broker or insurer who can help (am, happy with third party only if that's all I can get)?

Silly question, but have you tried any of those that advertise in the JOC magazine??

Hagerty has real people (enthusiasts) on the other end of the phone, who will at least listen and discuss it with you, even if they can't help.

I'm insured with Adrian Flux and would suggest you give them a go.

Thanks all, I’ve tried Hagerty (my insurer) but they’ll only insure people with 5 years experience and over 30, will try Flux tomorrow

Thought I'd mention my dad has an SP which is insured with Classic Line, I am also on the comprehensive policy and am 27.
I know....he's a brave man 😉

Good luck with tomorrow.

One of the bigger brokers did a pitch at the recent FBHVC EXPO for insuring younger drivers from the age of 18 onwards on classic cars. I think it was Peter James Insurance. Try them and mention their presentation at the EXPO.
