Remarkable isn't it.
The bidding started at more than the previous record finished!

Bargain. At that price I'll have 2. Oh wait, there's only 2 in the world and the other is owned by Mercedes. Maybe next time.

An obscenity!! Millions dying everyday from starvation/water shortage/ invasion. The East plus China have a point when they see The West as decadent and soft. I don't care how rare this is it is obscene that money such as this can be poured into a non producing asset. Plus punters paying multiple millions for so called art works which were worth little when created. Kenny38

Insanity but I love the look of the car.
Surely a company making a few replicas could be sold for a mere £1m or so....

Re: £114 million
Make your mind up, old chap! One moment you want Jensen prices to escalate beyond the reach of many members, the next you are complaining when prices rise even further.
The money is really not too much of an issue - it was pointless figures when in the bank account. If it is spent on wasting resources, then it could be an obscenity. If it is spent on something that already exists, like a Van Gogh or a Mercedes, then it is not being wasted, just redistributed. Hopefully some of that money will spread out through society, and trickle into the public tax purse.
RIP the goat. That'll teach you to turn it loose in your neighbour's dustbins instead of feeding it.

Plans have been made for the allocation of that money.
And restrictions on how the car will be used.
However, as The Mercedes Benz Group revenue for the year 2021 was 134 billion Euros, on a profit margin of about 10%, the income from selling this particular car is just a drop in the bucket and makes me wonder what other motivation there might possibly be for selling one of its most prestigious and historically significant Crown Jewels.
Such a shame they parrot the 'decarbonisation' nonsense.
