Hi Mr Mini
Well my nuts arrived after a couple of days closely followed by snow and hail so the refitting of tyres and wheels was postponed for a day or so.
The new Rostyle wheels are now fitted with new wheel nuts and I reckon they look pretty cool see attached pictures.
As for offsets, insets, upsets etc I do not think it will matter too much considering the low mileage my car does, anyway I'll probably just moan at Robey's if the wheels come off.
Regards
Richard

Can you post a picture from the front and back that shows the position the wheels/tires sit in relation to the body please?

Photos are notoriously difficult to judge that sort of thing, but it looks to be just within legal limits for the UK. My understanding is that the shoulder of the tyre must be within the wheel arch, not outside it.

Hi Mojo
Just been having a look at my Mk2 Interceptor.
All body panels are standard, i.e. no alteration of wheel arches.
As far as I am aware UK law says that the wheels must not protrude beyond the bodywork. I believe this is why Mk1 Escorts had belled out rear arches when wide wheels were fitted.
At the front of my car, the new Rostyle wheels are inside of the wheel arch. At the rear of the car the edge of the wheel arch is level with the side of the tyre +/- 2mm.
I think this makes the wheels legal.

The UK regulations relates to the actual tread of the tyre, if you look down from above and you cannot see the actual tyre tread then it is legal. The bulge of the sidewall or rim is not part of the requirement. It is the tread that should be inside the arch. The most recent craze of beefing up pick ups draws attention to the oversize wheel and tyres but if the tread is inside the wheel arch no problem.Another is the swamper look for the VW campers, you an wedge a 17x9 wheel o them and the wheel looks outside the body but the tyre tapers in and is not illegal as we have sold over 2000 of these wheels and no problems from customers I don’t think Jensen owners will have an issue.
