It's no Interceptor ... But Deposit Paid...

Post by Richie »

... for this 1981 Ford Capri 2.0S.
A bit of a punt but hopefully one that will pay off.
It's certainly no Interceptor that's for sure, being wonderfully primitive to drive, but hopefully good, reliable fun.

Better pics to come.

I approve.
Not an Interceptor but as you say, should be fun.
It's also likely to hold its value well.

Lovely car.
I can't quite believe it's forty years old.
Where did the last twenty years go?
They just zipped by.

Well done Richie.

Many happy memories of drooling over a Capri 3.0 S in VJ Collet's showroom in Bourton. Pity my mum bought a Fiesta :-)

I'm so pleased you found a good example of one Richie; perfect for the whole family that and a doddle to maintain.

Be well,
Mark

Glad to see you found a replacement for the Interceptor, you will still have a nice classic car bought before your money disappears into a new kitchen or something equally boring.

I bought a Capri in 1971 1.6 for a previous lover while living in Perth WA. She left me for a market gardener as he was "nice" and I was "secretive and didn't "look like a clerk and my dad said you are a bit strange". I didn't get the car back because she didn't really like it and swapped for a mini cooper. She crashed the mini and died a week later. I didn't go to the funeral but privately regretted her and moved to USA.Kenny38
