TERRY HARRIS of TERRY HARRIS ENGINEERING

Post by sandro botticelli »

Dear all

It is with a heavy heart that the sad passing of Terry Harris is announced aged 71.

Terry was a renowned expert in the restoration, maintenance and salvation of classic cars, in particular Jensen, Jaguar and Gordon Keeble, on the latter of which he was the acknowledged authority. Many of us in the JOC owe the enjoyment of our vehicles over many years in no small part to Terry; an obituary will be published in due course.

The funeral will take place on Saturday 31st July in Stevenage and the arrangements are as follows:

09.40 Cortege leaves family home Stanmore.

Those wishing to attend the funeral in their classic cars should please form up and meet at Morrisons Cafe on Stirling Way just north of Stirling Junction A1; postcode: WD6 2RN.

Depart 10.05 with cortege.

11.00 The funeral is at Harwood Park Crematorium, Watton Rd, Stevenage SG2 8XT.

Afterwards all mourners and guests are invited to the Wake for some light refreshments:

Royal British Legion, Gun Lane, Knebworth SG3 6AU.

There will be vehicle spaces directly outside the Legion reserved for classic cars attending.

Hopefully as many people as possible will find the time on 31st July to pay their last respects to a wonderful man.

All enquiries to Terry's son Daryl Harris: 07956 358 918 darylharris32@yahoo.co.uk
