It airs later this year on Discovery+.
Richard Hammond, co-host of The Grand Tour on Amazon, is getting a new show on a different streaming service. Airing later this year, Hammond will launch a new show on Discovery+ called Richard Hammond’s Workshop (a working title, according to Deadline.com), where Hammond and a father-and-son team will build a classic car restoration business near Hammond’s home in Herefordshire, UK.
Details about the show are scarce at the moment, but the show will have Hammond along with Neil and Anthony Greenhouse, who will run the garage, restoring an assortment of barn finds, rare automobiles, and Hammond’s own eclectic collection of automobiles and motorcycles. According to Deadline.com, Hammond will also delve into the history of Jensen Motors.
Hammond’s grandfather once worked at Jensen, which gives Hammond the belief that he may have inherited some of his craftsmanship skills. There’s an expansive archive of Hammond’s mechanical missteps caught on camera through Top Gear and The Grand Tour, so we’ll see if those skills were really passed down.

Re: Richard Hammonds new TV show
I thought that nowadays a workshop was when a group of people meet up in a hotel to "process" politically correct discussions and then gather together to inform their ongoing dialogue. Bah humbug!
"Now that chassis number is particularly interesting ‘cos it’s the one after the one before, which is the one after mine, not many people know that"

Re: Richard Hammonds new TV show
Maybe the words ''TV SHOW'' says it all.......condensing 2/3000 man hours into 30 minutes, or ''restored in 60 seconds''.
Before we know it, Hammond will know everything, and those of us that have been doing it for 40 years know nothing !
Same old TV fodder. I thought Brewster and his team was insult enough, but here we go again ?
However, if it's yet another Channel that one has to subscribe to, it will not be happening here.....so nothing to raise the blood pressure anyway !

I find these restoration videos entertaining, with the parts walking themselves around, Magic Roundabout style!
