Jensen servicing recommendations?

Post by Oxymoron »

Hi
I want to get my Interceptor properly serviced and mot'd this year, by a garage that knows the model.
Has anyone any recomendations for servicing in the Midlands region?
Cheers

Have you tried Jim Smith?

He has worked on my car and I would also thoroughly recommend him.

Jim Smith rebuilt the engine on my C-V8. Very impressed with him, he has also been recommended by various other people.

if you want your car to be serviced correctly and MOT.d Appleyards is the place to go.
Many people in the JOC have had their cars there, including myself and two others who have answered here.
Only working half a day now.

Dear All

I am not technical and my Jensen Interceptor 2 has now been laid up for well over a year and not far off two.
It works but I do need servicing support (I want an MOT again) and I cannot realistically travel up to Appleyards (for my sins I am resident of Croydon).
Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I might take my Jensen for servicing work ?
I do need support from someone who is enthusiastic to work on it - or I will have to sell it, which would be a shame.

I would be enormously grateful for any advice.

thank you,

Thanks for the suggestions.
The engine seems to be running ok, but I would like the whole car checked over for peace of mind and to get a new mot too.

Dear All who came back to me

You came up trumps. I have a clean sheet MOT and an interceptor that’s running very nicely.

Many thanks

Well, I took my car to Appleyards, who serviced it and replaced the seized rear brake calipers with reconditioned ones.
It also passed it's not with no advisories.

I now have shiny new wheel nuts too, as well as shiny brake calipers!...I must polish the wheels to match!
