These were supposed to be grand touring cars with refinement, not noisy shouty boy racer cars with loud exhausts. I would imagine the exhaust noise inside the car would become quite tiring and annoying on a long journey. This of course is my own opinion on exhaust noise.
Exactly right, but perfectly ok on a C-V8, correct? :D
